Whether you are plugging in for the first time or a seasoned electric bowed pro, this site will give you tips and tricks for getting the best results with your bowed electric strings.

All strng educators know that electric strings are beginning to surface more and more as part of the youth experience as violinists, violists, cellists and bassists.  The reality is that most string educators aren't well versed in the technological optioins and intricacies involved with incorperating electric strings into the school orchestra curriculum.
We are building this site to serve as a portal for all of your questions, concerns and ideas realted to the topic.  We want your questions!  We want your great ideas! We are willing to share any information that you have with the general string education community via this site and encourage you to get involved. 

I will be presenting a session at the 2009 ASTA Conference in Atlanta called Effective Effects that will deal with the physics of effects processing and shold be a great resource for music educators and students  that are getting into electric bowed strings.
